SPECIAL BUDGET WORK SESSION MINUTES
TOWN COUNCIL TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 2009
MADDEN ROOM TIME: 7:30 P.M.
1. Call Meeting to Order
Mayor Prague called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m.
2. Roll Call
Members Present: Mayor Cary Prague
Deputy Mayor Bazzano
Councillor Kathryn Hale
Councillor Kevin McCann
Councillor Paul Oates
Councillor John Pelkey
Councillor Keith Yagaloff
Also Present: Matthew Galligan, Town Manager
Mayor Prague made a motion to Suspend the Rules and move to Item 7. Executive Session. Councillor Pelkey seconded the motion; and it was approved, unanimously.
7. Executive Session
At 7:39 p.m. Mayor Prague made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss status of the I-291 project – Connecticut Studios. Councillor Yagaloff seconded the motion; and it was approved, unanimously.
The following individuals went into Executive Session: Town Manager Matthew B. Galligan, Mayor Cary Prague, Deputy Mayor Gary Bazzano, Councillors Kathryn Hale, Kevin McCann, Paul Oates, John Pelkey and Keith Yagaloff.
At 8:31 p.m. Councillor Pelkey made a motion to adjourn Executive Session. Deputy Mayor Bazzano seconded the motion; and it was approved, unanimously.

Council members reviewed budget items in the following areas: Town Council, Commissions, Probate, Registrar, Town Manager & Human Resources, Planning Department, Building Department, Finance Department, Town Clerk, Town Attorney, Central Services, Police Services & Street Lights, Fire Marshal, South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, and Hydrants.
8. Adjournment
At 10:30 p.m. Councillor Pelkey made a motion to adjourn the Special Budget Work Session. Councillor Hale seconded the motion; and it was approved, unanimously.
